Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking a Research Assistant to join the Bianchi Lab. Under supervision, you will conduct routine molecular biology and biochemistry experiments, record results, and analyze data using basic statistics.

You will perform assays, DNA sequencing, tissue culture, and literature reviews, while helping to maintain lab records and support other researchers. A strong emphasis on safety, data integrity, and teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• 0-1 years related work experience.
• Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine tests following established procedures, including assays, DNA sequencing, tissue culture, protein purification, PCR analysis and electrophoresis.
• Research and collect basic study data, maintain daily logs, and summarize data with basic statistics.
• Perform literature searches and course attendances to further knowledge.
• Assist students and staff by demonstrating routine lab tasks as needed.
