Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in science and 3-5 years of related laboratory experience or
• Master's Degree and up to one year laboratory experience
• Knowledge of and experience with advanced laboratory techniques and procedures, data interpretation and statistical analysis
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey experimental procedures, results, and challenges
• Some brief evening and weekend work may be requested
• Preferred: Master's Degree in science
• 1-3 years working with animals and colony management
• 1-3 years Performing flow cytometry, cell cultures, and working with pathogens at BSL-2
• 1-3 years Publication of scientific research and writing grant proposals

Responsibilities

• Conducts specialized laboratory experiments
• Develops research study design, techniques and protocols in collaboration with Principal Investigator
• Reviews results and suggests modifications to experiments and protocols where necessary
• Oversees collection and data entry of results
• Analyzes and interprets data and drafts results of experiments
• Writes summaries and material for presentation and publication
