JOB REQUIREMENTS: Research Assistant in Quantum Computing - Babikov Lab

Research and Lab Services Position Overview This project-focused appointment in quantum computing will support the research program of PI: Dr. Dmitri Babikov. The project will focus on the development of a method for the modelling of quantum dynamics of molecular collision processes.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Carry out computational research in Molecular Physics on the development of quantum computing algorithm for the description of rotational state-to-state transitions during inelastic molecular collisions.
  • Write and test computer programs using Python, Qiskit and FORTRAN.
  • Conduct research with a growing degree of independence, work well with others in the lab.
  • Provide research summaries and reports weekly, meet regularly with PI to discuss next.
