Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Research Assistant to support qualitative research under the supervision of a physician researcher. The role focuses on data collection, qualitative analysis, and preparing academic products related to geriatrics, medical education, and integrative medicine.

You will assist with recruitment, interviews, coding, and literature reviews, while maintaining confidentiality and contributing to manuscript preparation and research trainings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, social sciences, education, health sciences, or a related field.
  • Relevant research and data management experience 1-2 years required.
  • Master's-level training completed or in progress is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with participant recruitment, scheduling, interviews, and focus groups.
  • Review, de-identify, organize, and code qualitative data.
  • Help develop and apply qualitative codebooks.
  • Participate in thematic analysis and research-team meetings.
  • Conduct focused literature reviews.
  • Assist with abstracts, presentations, manuscripts, and IRB materials.
  • Maintain confidential and accurate research records.
  • Complete required research training and perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Research Assistant will support qualitative research related to the Geriatric Academic Career Award under the supervision of Julia Loewenthal, MD The position will focus on data collection, qualitative analysis, and preparation of academic products related to geriatrics, medical education, and integrative medicine.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with participant recruitment, scheduling, interviews, and focus groups.
  • Review, de-identify, organize, and code qualitative data.
  • Help develop and apply qualitative codebooks.
  • Participate in thematic analysis and research-team meetings.
  • Conduct focused literature reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS
