Job summary

Bassett Healthcare Network is seeking a Research Assistant I to support community, public health, and health services research programs. You will work under the PI and Research Supervisor, handling data collection, documentation, recruitment, and coordination of meetings and activities.

The role emphasizes flexibility across multiple projects, strong communication, and administrative support to strengthen public health impact.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Organizes and maintains program-related documents, databases, and resources for meetings and required reporting.
• Completes and manages data collection in a timely and compliant manner with regulatory and funding agencies.
• Assists with data clean-up, transcription, and coding per protocols.
• Supports recruitment and enrollment for research programs.
• Schedules activities and coordinates meetings/events with collaborators.
• Assists in developing, promoting, and disseminating research materials and products.
• Delivers presentations internally and externally to support the program.

What you'll do

While this position does not function as an independent researcher, all Research Assistant I activities serve the research goal. The successful Research Assistant I will be highly flexible, able to undertake a number of tasks on a number of different projects simultaneously and will take the initiative to become familiar with all aspects of assigned programs.

Under the direction of the Principal Investigator and management of the Research Supervisor as applicable, the Research Assistan I will provide research and administrative support for community, public health, and health services research programs; and will help strengthen the organization’s capacity to better serve and improve public health and healthcare efforts.

• Organizes and maintains program-related documents, databases, and resources, maintaining notes for internal and external meetings as required
• Completes and manages appropriate data collection in a timely and efficient manner as required by internal and external regulatory and funding agencies, as well as research protocols
• Assists with data clean-up efforts, interview transcription and research coding, per research protocols
• Assists with program subject recruitment and enrollment, per research protocols
• Schedules activities in support of the research program
• Assists with contacting appropriate collaborators in order to institute and organize program-related meetings and events
• Assists with the development, promotion, and dissemination of research materials and products
• Delivers presentations both internally and externally in support of the research program
• Maintains good working relationships with those who are involved in the research program, as well as other departments in the organization
• Purchases equipment and supplies within budget
• Assists with strengthening communications and relationships with community members and organizations involved with the research program
• Assists in advocacy activities promoting the mission of the research program
• Attends research meetings and seminars as required or requested
• Performs similar or related duties as requested or directed

What we need from you

Education:

• 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in appropriate discipline
• Experience may be considered in lieu of education

Physical Requirements:

• Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Pay Range

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.

Pay Range Minimum:

USD $19.50/Hr.

Pay Range Maximum:

USD $29.26/Hr.
