IRMI - International Risk Management Institute in North Dallas is seeking a Research Assistant for Summer 2027 to support analysts on research and writing projects and to contribute to IRMI publications. Eligibility requires an undergraduate major in risk management, insurance, or actuarial science with a graduation date no earlier than August 2027.

Position Overview: Based in our North Dallas office, the IRMI intern will collaborate with several research analysts on various special research and writing projects. This role provides extensive exposure to multiple lines of insurance and insurance financing options (e.g., captives, contractual risk transfer, self-insurance). The intern's contributions will enhance the quality of IRMI publications and may lead to becoming a published author. This is an excellent opportunity for those planning to pursue a career in risk management or insurance after graduation.

• Duration: Approximately 10 weeks


• Work Schedule: Full-time, 7.5 hours daily, Monday to Friday


• Salary: $23 per hour


• Telework: Allowed on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday


• On-site Work: Required at IRMI's office (with free covered parking) on Wednesday and Thursday
