Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Research Assistant to perform experiments as part of a biomedical research team at Thomas Jefferson University. You will record and analyze results, supporting collaborative efforts to understand disease mechanisms and contribute to ongoing projects.

You will present findings at lab meetings and contribute to literature searches and manuscript preparation under the supervision of the principal investigator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 2 years experience; or a Master's degree with no required experience.
• Master's degree is acceptable with no required experience.

• Performs a variety of analytical and technical laboratory experiments, analysis and other duties as required in the study, research work following established methods as well as developing new procedures and protocols.

• Researches in the laboratory under the direction of the principal investigator

Summary

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
