Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a Research Assistant to support Digestive Diseases research projects. You will collect records, coordinate study schedules and execute assigned protocols in a busy, cutting-edge environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED and one year of experience in a healthcare setting OR Bachelor's Degree.
  • Proficiency with Word processing, spreadsheets, and database and presentation software.
  • Certification in Human Subjects Research within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Assist research team with research study related tasks.
  • Assist with completion of protocol related activities.
  • Obtain and maintain clinical competencies for unlicensed caregivers such as phlebotomy, vital signs, ECG, POC testing and other testing as required.
  • Assist with development and coordination of the research subject schedule in compliance with the research protocol.
  • Assist in the collection, recording and maintenance of research study records.
  • Assist in development and maintenance of research tools, such as spreadsheets, questionnaires, and brochures.
  • Maintain study personnel certification records (license, CV, CITI, etc.).

As a Research Assistant, you will help facilitate this vision by supporting human subject research projects, collecting records, coordinating study schedules and executing assigned protocols. A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM - 5:00PM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:
  • Assist the research team with research study related tasks.
  • Assist with completion of protocol related activities.
  • Obtain and maintain clinical competencies for unlicensed caregivers such as phlebotomy, vital signs, ECG, POC testing and other testing as required.
  • Assist with the development and coordination of the research subject schedule in compliance with the research protocol.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
  • High School Diploma/GED and one year of experience in a healthcare setting OR Bachelor's Degree
  • Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of computer-based skills, including Word processing, spreadsheets, and database and presentation software
  • Certification in Human Subjects Research as required by the Responsible Conduct of Research guidelines within 90 days of hire
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
  • Frequently requires lifting and turning patients, and in some locations, ability to move up to 50 pounds
Personal Protective Equipment:

Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
