Job summary

Nicklaushealth in Florida is seeking a Research Assistant to participate in coordinating observational studies, support the research team with subject recruitment, database maintenance, and drafting of research protocols and manuscripts.

You will work closely with RI - CANCER CENTER staff, enter data, generate reports, maintain patient information, provide feedback, and serve as a liaison to multiple departments involved with the study.

Qualifications

• AA, medical, technical school or 2 years of research or healthcare experience.
• Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Working knowledge of statistics.
• Familiarity with computer-based tracking systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Ability to relate cooperatively with co‑workers.
• Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with researchers, RI - Cancer Center staff, and other health care providers.
• Assist in development of research projects, manuscripts, and submission for publication.
• Support study staff with questions by providing information and feedback.
• Enter data in databases, generate reports, perform data maintenance and queries.
• Maintain patient information in database and ensure data is collected and reported accurately.
• Provide feedback to staff and ensure documentation reflects patient records.
• Produce reports on grant progress and assist in troubleshooting.
• Serve as liaison for Research Institute with all departments involved in the study.
