Job summary

The Rockefeller University is seeking a Research Assistant to support the establishment and daily operations of a new amyloid biology lab. You will assist with setting up the lab, preparing reagents, and performing research using molecular cloning, protein purification, immunohistochemistry, light and electron microscopy under supervision.

You will gain hands-on training, maintain accurate records, organize lab resources, and help document progress while contributing to a safe and well-ordered

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, neuroscience, molecular biology, or another relevant scientific field.
• At least one semester of hands-on laboratory experience through coursework, research, an internship, or employment.
• Ability to follow established experimental protocols carefully and accurately.
• Ability to maintain accurate laboratory records and organize experimental information.
• Ability to learn new laboratory techniques, equipment, and procedures under supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Ability to work effectively under the direct supervision of the Head of Laboratory and to communicate experimental progress, observations, and problems clearly.
