Job summary

Metro Infectious Disease Consultants is seeking a Research Assistant to provide non-clinical support through data collection for multiple projects. You will analyze clinical data, ensure protocol compliance, and assist with data entry and EMR documentation.

The role involves setting up equipment, coordinating with staff, and contributing to project meetings. A high school diploma is required, with preferred health-related degrees and phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma.
• Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution in social sciences or health-related discipline is preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• Experience in the medical field is preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft products and various electronic medical records systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter data proficiently and accurately into a data capture system for sponsors and contract research organizations to monitor.
• Request or acquire the equipment and supplies necessary for each project.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain laboratory and/or field research equipment, as specified by the requirements of the study.
• Assist Clinical Research Associates that are monitoring each study (on and off-site).
• Invoice for payments associated with the clinical trial budget.
• Ship lab samples while following regulations and protocols when needed.
• Attend project meetings and communicate with fellow staff through email and phone calls.
• Perform ECG's
• Perform Phlebotomy
• Upload study documents to EMR chart
• Track specimen shipments
• Responsibilities may evolve depending on protocol specific requirements
