Job summary

The Bolton Group in Denver, CO seeks an R&D Technical Manager to lead value-driven projects, push product improvements, and drive new technologies from ideation through launch. Job description

The R&D Technical Manager is a strategic partner responsible for developing and executing projects that drive value, product improvements, and efficiencies, as well as new technologies, ingredients, and products.

They are a key partner to the Sales, Operations, Quality, and Procurement teams in achieving operational and technical excellence.

The role includes knowledge transfer and training, while ensuring compliance with the company's policies and standards, as well as local regulatory and legislative requirements.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Implement the R&D strategy for value-driven projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop strong project pipelines aligned with business priorities, share best practices and improve overall ways of working
• Drive continuous improvement in R&D processes to strengthen focus, agility, and flawless end-to-end execution from ideation through launch
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to factories on ingredients, recipes, and processing to ensure consistent production of high-quality customer products.
• Support the integration and start-up of new facilities and new production lines.
• Ensure adherence to all product, process, and material standards

WHO YOU ARE:

• Engineering/Bachelor's degree in food science, chemistry, or related field of science
• 5+ years in the food industry with at least 3 years R&D experience
• Experience leading Innovation or Technical projects.
• Thorough knowledge of bakery product processing, food technology, and formulation, as well as bakery operations and production equipment
• Knowledge of food regulations of food and its processes
• Knowledge of safety standards (HACCP, FSSC 22000, BRC) and their implications in food development and processing
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced business environment
• Strong leadership, Collaboration, and influencing skills
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
