Ecolab's Research, Development & Engineering internship invites you to work on chemistry, mechanical, electrical engineering projects and process development. The 11-week summer program starts June 1, 2027, with sites in Eagan, MN or Naperville, IL, offering hybrid work and relocation assistance.

As an intern you will participate in product development, testing, and evaluation from idea to manufacturing, gaining mentorship and exposure to real business impact.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a STEM bachelor’s degree with an anticipated graduation date in 2027/2028.
• Interest in research, development and engineering across multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Perform research, design, and test for product improvement and development.
• Test and analyze formulations to determine performance and reliability.
• Identify technologies to advance product performance.
• Ensure compliance with design criteria and standards.
• Design experiments for chemical processes (ChemE) or development of dispensers and control systems (Mech/Elec).
• Support laboratory activities for technical platform development.

Internsin RDE support all business units of a globally diversified technology/service company, creating a dynamic, challenging, and varying work environment. This position will entail a variety of Chemistry, Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering work with a focus on either new product/application development or process engineering. As an RDE intern, you willparticipatein and support all stages of product development and application commercialization, frominitialproduct idea generation and brainstorming to the final manufacturing process and post-launch support.

What You Will Do:

• Perform research, design, and test, for product improvement and development of new and launched products, chemical dispensing systems, and/or control systems
• Test, evaluate, and analyze formulations and/or systems todetermineor prove performance and reliability
• Identifyand evaluate technologies to advance the performance and reliability of existing and new products
• Ensure compliance with design criteria and standards
• Chemical Engineers:Design experiments to understand the dynamics of chemical processes and formulations
• Mechanical Engineers:Participatein the design and development of new chemical dispensers and control systems
• Electrical Engineers:Participatein the design and development of new embedded circuit board designs
• Chemistry: Execute technical laboratory activities in support of technical platform development.

• Positions are located inEagan, MN and Naperville, IL
• Relocation assistance may be available
• Opportunity for a hybrid work environment, balancing office days with working remotely

Minimum Qualifications:

• Pursuing aBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Chemistry with an anticipatedgraduation date of December2027 or May/June2028

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range:

$22 - $25/hour Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
