Job summary

Vera Institute is seeking a Research Analyst for the Advancing Universal Representation (UREP) Initiative in Brooklyn, NY. The role focuses on data collection, analysis, and supporting policy-relevant research to advance due process in immigration proceedings.

You will assist in rapid response tasks, literature reviews, and preparation of reports, with a hybrid schedule at the Brooklyn office and collaboration across senior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, computer science, or social science, or related field+ up to 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean and manage data (primarily quantitative).
• Develop and maintain codebooks, instruments, or other research materials.
• Support data collection under the supervision of senior research staff.
• Support quantitative and qualitative analysis of data and/or writeup of methods and results.
• Prepare and format reports, factsheets, and other products.
