Hiring Range: $90,237 - $95,732 per year

Full Range: $90,237 - $117,738 per year

Schedule:
Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
40 hours a week/12 months per year

This position is contingent upon grant-funded, and it has an ending date of 06/30/2027.

Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Accreditation, Research, Institutional Effectiveness and Planning, performs statistical and analytical institutional research; provide information or research for decision-making and program planning; and provide technical support to faculty, administrators and staff regarding research design, survey development, and test validation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource to staff requiring research assistance for projects, programs, grants and other areas where this support is needed.
• Experience in the application of research methodologies and statistical data analysis.
• Experience with standard query language (SQL),
• Experience developing surveys and survey software.
• Experience working in a postsecondary educational environment (preferred).
• Experience with information management systems (databases) and MS Office.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and team skills.
• Excellent written, oral and telephone communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to audiences who have various levels of technological proficiency.
• Knowledge of Tableau, statistical software (SPSS, R, etc) SQL, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and Excel Pivot Tables.
• Research theory, methodology, and descriptive and inferential statistics; technical report writing; survey design; familiarity with State and federal accountability reporting requirements.
• Provides timely and accurate information from district information systems.
• Oversee the continuing development of the district's data warehouse and other research software and appropriate technologies.
• Responsible for the preparation of various state and federal reports.
• Prepare data sets for the college and district program review and strategic planning processes.
• Provide categorical and special programs with student achievement data and progress reports for the purpose of evaluating programs and services.
• Provide training to staff regarding the use and interpretation of data.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Gathers, organizes, and presents information, analysis, and interpretation clearly and effectively in narrative, tabular, graphical and oral modes using appropriate descriptive and inferential statistics. Conduct testing and validation of data warehouse information. Identify and recommend new data sets to enhance the district's data warehouse.

Provides accurate information for decision making. Improve and expand the district's data warehouse. Identify and provide timely information that supports the district and colleges' strategic planning process. Ability to write clearly and effectively. Provide data for evaluation or grant proposals. Train faculty and staff on use of data. Prepare, review, and submit reports to state and federal agencies. Ability to prepare Datatel state reports. Using the program review templates, prepare data sets that will assist faculty and staff to answer the required questions to complete their program review. Provide training and support to employees on the interpretation of data. Work closely with program directors to identify reporting needs. Assist program directors with the interpretation and use of data. Work closely with grants office and program directors to ensure data is provided to meet proposal or evaluation deadlines. Work with the CIOs and CSSOs to schedule formal training for faculty and staff on use and interpretation of data.

Education & Experience

Must possess a bachelor's degree and at least two years of research experience that demonstrates the ability to conduct complex analysis. Demonstrated experience in research or special study work may be substituted for years of relevant experience.

Working Conditions

Work is performed indoors where minimal safety considerations exist. Office environment; subject to constant interruptions, may require walking or driving from site to site to conduct work on campus.

Valid driver's license is required.
