Job summary

CORE is seeking an experienced Rescue Technician to join our team in the Carlsbad, NM area. This PRN position includes day and night shifts with OT and per diem available to qualified candidates.

Responsibilities include hazard assessments, safety analyses, hazard control determinations, and PPE readiness. You will conduct briefings, monitor conditions, report findings, and provide first aid and CPR within trained scope.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Rescue Certifications including Rescue 1 and Rescue 2.
• State EMT license preferred.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience in petrochemical, municipal or industrial safety equipment industry.
• Ability to inspect, clean and perform maintenance on rescue equipment.
• Drug screen and fit-for-duty exam required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assessing hazards and draft a Confined Space Rescue Preplan and a Rescue Safety Analysis.
• Identify and communicate potential hazards to all affected parties.
• Determine hazard controls and emergency contingency plans and ensure PPE is ready and in good condition.
• May conduct general air quality monitoring and recommend hazard controls or PPE based on data.
• Conduct daily job briefings with customer and workers.
• Monitor job conditions and equipment resources and report observations; complete IC (Incident Command System) reports.
• Render first aid and CPR to the training level.

We are looking for an experienced Rescue Technician to join our team in the Carlsbad , NM, area . This is a PRN position, day and night shifts, with OT and per diem available to qualified candidates.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Assists in assessing potential hazards and drafts a Confined Space Rescue Preplan and a Rescue Safety Analysis.
• Identifies and communicates potential hazards to all affected parties.
• Determines hazard controls and emergency contingency plans and ensures that required safety equipment and PPE is readily available and in good working order.
• May conduct general air quality monitoring and make recommendations for hazard control or personal protective equipment based on the interpretation of this data.
• Conducts daily job briefings with customer and workers.
• Performs on-going monitoring of job conditions and equipment resources and reports observations and recommendations to supervisor to assure both worker and team safety is maintained at all times. Completes daily IC
  S (Incident Command System) reports.
• Renders first aid and CPR to the level of training.

• Demonstrates effective communication (verbal, written & listening) and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the petrochemical, municipal or industrial safety equipment industry.
• Ability to inspect, clean and perform preventative maintenance on all rescue equipment.

Physical Assessment:

• This is a safety sensitive position. A drug screen with breath alcohol test and fit-for-duty exam will be required prior to employment.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Training Requirements:

• Rescue Certifications including Rescue 1 Certification (aka Confined Space), and Rescue 2 Certification (aka Rope Rescue or High Angle)
• State licensed EMT (preferred)
• Valid Driver's License
