Job summary

Central City Concern seeks a versatile Representative Payee I to support the administrative team and assist clients who rely on Social Security benefits. The role covers data entry, reporting, and back-up front desk duties, within an on-site team at Old Town Recovery Center in Portland.

You will coordinate payeeship applications, train clients, and ensure program compliance. The position requires a high school diploma, at least 1 year in databases/reports, 55 wpm typing, CPR, and Excel

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • One year minimum experience with databases, reporting, data entry and admin tasks.
  • Typing speed at least 55 wpm.
  • CPR certification required prior to start date.
  • Healthcare admin experience and payee program knowledge preferred.
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency; forms completed accurately.
  • HIPAA/privacy/security compliance and Drug-Free Workplace policy adherence.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Description

The Representative Payee I works as a critical member of the administrative support team to provide both general operations support and coverage for the Representative Payee II. The position assists in the operations of the agency based representative payee program to assist clients who are unable to manage their Social Security benefits to ensure that their basic living needs are met, following the SSA rules and regulations. This position will also work on specialized projects, data entry, reporting and act as back up to the front desk staff to ensure smooth and efficient administrative operations.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm (Saturday & Sunday Off)

Location: Old Town Recovery Center (33 NW Broadway, Portland, OR 97209)

Compensation: $23.86 - $31.67/hr

* Final comp will be determined based on relevant experience, education, credentials/licensure, and internal equity. External candidates: Offer max $27.69/hr per our Union contract.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of one (1) years of experience working with databases and generating reports, performing data entry, and other administrative tasks.
  • Minimum typing speed of 55 wpm.
  • Must have current CPR certification prior to start date.
  • Experience in development and management of an agency based representative payee program preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience in an administrative role in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Must have the ability to complete forms thoroughly and accurately.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate data and reports as requested from CCC internal databases and other sources.
  • Perform continuous auditing of client information to ensure accuracy for reporting
  • Provide monthly data reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide collaboration with the clinical teams to identify potential clients and support current clients.
  • Apply for payeeship on behalf of clients as SSA.
  • Offer individual skills training to assist with teaching clients how to manage and budget their funds.
  • Functions as a liaison between SSA and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in clinical staff meetings and case conferences as needed to assist with supporting clinical interventions to maximize community tenure.
  • Monitor and assure that the health and safety needs of clients are met.
  • Maintain client records for SSA as required by program standards and funding requirements.
  • Work in collaboration with accounting team to ensure accounting practices are followed.
  • Provide backup coverage for administrative support as needed this includes answering switchboard, scheduling appointments, coverage for breaks and absences.
  • Responsible for opening incoming mail, and maintaining supplies in office
  • File documents, Pull & copy paper charts as needed for audits and requests.Adhere to all state and federal privacy regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2, and to CCC policies and agreements regarding confidentiality, privacy, and security. Support compliance with all privacy and security requirements pursuant to community partners’ and outside providers’ patient confidentiality agreements, including privacy and security requirements for EMR access. This includes immediately reporting any breach of protected health information or personal identification information of any person receiving CCC services by CCC or an outside provider to the CCC Compliance Department, as well as to your supervisor or their designee.
  • Attend all mandatory CCC trainings in a timely manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
