Bank of Montreal in Chicago is seeking a Reporting Automation / AI Developer to design and maintain automated reporting solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across risk reporting processes.

You will partner with risk reporting teams to translate manual workflows into reliable pipelines, building Python/Shell applications, AI-enabled workflows, and modern data delivery for Power BI outputs.

Qualifications

• A few years of hands-on experience in reporting automation or data development.
• Strong mastery of SQL (complex views, stored procedures, and performance tuning).
• Proficiency with Python and Shell scripting to automate workflows.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled workflows to modernize reporting processes.
• Experience with Power BI; knowledge of Microsoft Fabric is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated reporting solutions for risk reporting processes.
• Build and integrate AI-enabled workflows to streamline data preparation, validation, and report generation.
• Develop and maintain applications/scripts (Python/Shell) supporting reporting automation and system health monitoring.
• Re-engineer legacy, manual reporting processes into modern, automated pipelines.
• Design optimized data marts and star schemas for Power BI consumption and SQL optimization.
