Job description

With 64 television stations in 51 U.S. markets, TEGNA reaches more than 100 million people monthly across the web, mobile apps, streaming, and linear television. Together, we are building a sustainable future for local news.

KGW is looking for a creative, driven and curious news reporter who can shoot and edit his or her own stories. Known in our newsroom as a \"multi-skilled journalist\", MSJs are a key part of our newsroom’s coverage on both broadcast and digital platforms.

Most stories will be same-day turns, while other times, you’ll be given more time to execute your vision. You can expect to work solo many days, although there are ample opportunities to work with a photographer, especially on breaking news or complex stories.

We are looking for someone who is excited about the future of local news. Our ideal candidate embraces the digital future of our industry and can show examples of strong work on digital, streaming and social media platforms.

Please indicate in your application if you have experience producing and anchoring weathercasts. While not required, candidates who have weather experience will be given extra consideration.
