Job summary

Mercor seeks experienced News Analysts, Reporters, and Journalists to evaluate AI-generated news content and workflows, applying real-world reporting and editorial judgment across print and broadcast media. Immediate start for this project.

You will assess quality, compare AI outputs, and provide expert feedback on story selection, source evaluation, fact interpretation, and narration. Requires 4+ years in journalism and a commitment of about 20 hours per week for roughly 4–6 weeks.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Reporter, News Reporter, News Anchor, Staff Writer, Journalist, or similar role.
• Experience writing, narrating, or analyzing news stories for print, broadcast, or other media.
• Ability to commit 20+ hours per week.
• Strong written English communication skills.

About the Role

Mercor is hiring experienced News Analysts, Reporters, and Journalists to help evaluate and improve cutting-edge AI systems. In this role, you'll evaluate AI-generated news content and workflows, leveraging your real-world expertise in reporting, news analysis, and editorial judgment across print and broadcast media.

• Review journalistic scenarios involving story selection, source evaluation, fact interpretation, and presentation choices and provide expert feedback.

• 4+ years of experience as a Reporter, News Reporter, News Anchor, Staff Writer, Journalist, or another closely related news or journalism role.

• Experience writing, narrating, or analyzing news stories, reviews, or commentary for print, broadcast, or other communications media.

• Ability to commit 20+ hours per week.

• Strong written English communication skills.

Additional Information

• Start date: Immediate

• Duration: Approximately 4–6 weeks

• Payment: task-based (payment upon first task approval). Experts who complete their first task within the required timeline will then be qualified to be paid hourly for the remainder of the project.
