  • Collaborate with producers, photographers, and newsroom staff to shape coverage and segment ideas.

  • Take part in special projects and other duties as assigned.

WDAF-TV FOX4 in Kansas City is seeking a dynamic and enterprising News Reporter to join our team. This role is ideal for a journalist who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative newsroom and is passionate about telling compelling stories across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms. The successful candidate will be a strong storyteller with excellent live reporting skills, a deep understanding of local issues, and the ability to connect with viewers in a clear, engaging, and meaningful way. Enterprise original, impactful stories that resonate with the local community across all platforms – broadcast, digital, streaming, and social media. Deliver live reports with confidence and clarity, especially during breaking news and developing stories. Write and produce content in a clear, concise, and engaging manner tailored to each platform. Build and maintain a network of sources to stay ahead of the news curve. Conduct interviews with newsmakers and community members to enhance storytelling. Collaborate with producers, photographers, and newsroom staff to shape coverage and segment ideas. Ensure all content meets FOX4’s standards for journalistic integrity and production quality. Contribute to the station’s digital presence. Take part in special projects and other duties as assigned.
