The candidate must have excellent communication skills, work well with both technical and business teams, and manage their own workload and priorities effectively. The Role:

Brand Addition operates a global technology environment supporting customer portals, ERP platforms, reporting solutions, integrations, automation workflows, and business-critical operational systems across multiple regions.

The Report Developer and Business Systems Support role will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and supporting SSRS reports that provide accurate and timely information to teams across the business. The role will also provide day-to-day support for core business systems, investigating issues, assisting users, and coordinating resolutions with internal teams and external partners.

Working closely with the Business Systems, IT, and operational teams, the successful candidate will gather reporting requirements, translate business needs into clear and reliable reports, and support the applications and processes used by the St. Louis office. The position includes practical SQL work for report datasets, data validation, troubleshooting, and small system enhancements.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys combining report development with responsive business support. The successful candidate will work directly with users to understand problems, investigate data and application behaviour, document solutions, and deliver improvements that are practical, maintainable, and aligned with business priorities.

The role offers exposure to a diverse range of reporting needs and business processes, including operational reporting, customer reporting, order and sales information, data integrations, and process improvement initiatives. As Brand Addition continues to invest in data and automation, this position will help ensure users have dependable reporting and effective support for the systems they rely on.

The successful candidate will primarily support the St. Louis office while collaborating with colleagues across North America, the UK, Europe, and Asia as reporting or system needs require.

Reports To: Chief Technology Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and clarify reporting requirements with business users and stakeholders.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain SSRS reports, subscriptions, and supporting datasets.
• Write and maintain T-SQL queries, views, and stored procedures used for reporting and data analysis.
• Validate report results and investigate data discrepancies to ensure information is accurate, complete, and consistent.
• Enhance existing reports for usability, performance, and changing business requirements.
• Provide first- and second-line support for business systems used by the St. Louis office.
• Investigate application, workflow, interface, and data issues; document findings and coordinate resolution with the appropriate technical teams or vendors.
• Assist users with system functionality, reporting questions, access requests, and process guidance.
• Support testing and deployment of system changes, report updates, fixes, and process improvements.
• Monitor recurring issues and identify opportunities to improve reporting, data quality, and business processes.
• Create and maintain report specifications, support documentation, procedures, and user guidance.
• Provide support for planned out-of-hours activities and critical business system incidents when required.

Requirements:

• Experience developing and supporting Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports.
• Working knowledge of T-SQL, including joins, aggregations, subqueries, views, and stored procedures.
• Ability to translate business requirements into clear, accurate, and user-friendly reports.
• Experience troubleshooting data, reporting, or application issues in a business environment.
• Experience supporting business applications and working directly with end users.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, particularly when validating report outputs and investigating discrepancies.
• Ability to manage support requests and reporting priorities while communicating progress clearly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A collaborative, service-oriented approach and the ability to work independently when required.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Experience with SQL Server Management Studio and report deployment across development, test, and production environments.
• Experience with SSRS subscriptions, parameterized reports, drill-through reports, and shared data sources or datasets.
• Familiarity with SQL Server Agent jobs, SSIS packages, ETL processes, or scheduled data feeds.
• Experience supporting ERP, order management, e-commerce, warehouse, finance, or customer service systems.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, relational database design, and report performance optimization.
• Experience working in a multi-site or global organization and supporting users across different business functions.
