Qualifications

• Specialized planning experience delivering sensitive consultation and repatriation events.
• Proven project management across visits, consultations, and repatriation engagements.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal communication with high political acumen.
• Analytical thinking and sound judgment for problem-solving under pressure.
• Expert understanding of tribal political structures and protocols.
• Knowledge of operational procedures, office management, and common software.

Responsibilities

• Direct end-to-end execution of repatriation events, coordinating travel, access, and ceremonial requirements.
• Translate tribal mandates into institutional processes, ensuring cultural/privacy standards.
• Manage budget allocations, reimbursements, and vendor partnerships; forecast needs.
• Serve as a specialist within the NAGPRA team, briefing on protocol and resources.
• Assist with repatriation preparation and physical transfer of ancestors and belongings.
• Engage stakeholders to connect Native communities with campus units and resources.
• Support communications and PR, including briefing documents for leaders and senate briefings.
• Assist with audits and strategic planning as needed.
