Job summary

PIPESTONE is offering a Repairs & Maintenance Intern role to gain hands-on experience in maintenance, repairs, construction projects, and facility operations. You will work with farm leadership and asset management professionals on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and construction project exposure from planning through completion.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities.
• Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot maintenance and equipment issues.
• Assist with repair processes and maintenance scheduling.
• Support work order execution and maintenance tracking.
• Help ensure proper care and use of company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Promote a safety and biosecurity culture.
• Identify workplace hazards and assist in maintaining safe work environments.
• Complete additional maintenance, administrative, and project-related tasks as assigned.
• Assist with project coordination and execution; understand timelines and budgets.

Join PIPESTONE as a Repairs & Maintenance Intern and work alongside farm leadership and asset management professionals to support essential farm operations and facility improvement projects.

This internship offers valuable real-world experience in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, facility repairs, and exposure to construction project management from planning through completion.

What You'll Do

Facility Maintenance & Operations

• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities


• Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot maintenance and equipment issues


• Assist with repair processes and maintenance scheduling


• Support work order execution and maintenance tracking


• Help ensure proper care and use of company vehicles, tools, and equipment


• Promote a strong culture of safety and biosecurity


• Identify workplace hazards and assist in maintaining safe work environments


• Complete additional maintenance, administrative, and project-related tasks as assigned

Construction Project Exposure

• Assist with project coordination and execution


• Gain exposure to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards


• Participate in site visits, inspections, and project documentation


• Learn how facility improvement projects move from planning to completion

Physical Requirements

• Walk construction sites, farm facilities, and uneven terrain


• Stand, bend, climb, and perform physical work for extended periods


• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally


• Safely work around equipment, machinery, and active job sites
