Job summary

Heidelberg Materials operates a stone processing facility in Glen Mills, PA and is seeking a plant operator to support daily operations. You will monitor conveyors, screens, and crushers, report issues, and ensure smooth plant performance.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, ability to follow technical instructions, and strict safety practices around heavy equipment. This full-time, on-site position offers union benefits and a focus on safe, reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant and quarry equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow technical instructions, maintenance procedures, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of Stone processing plants.
• Check conveyors, screens, and crushers; report operating problems and oversized stone.
• Start and shut down plant equipment as necessary; perform general cleanup around the plant.
• Make minor repairs and adjustments; inspect and grease/lubricate plant equipment.
• Proficiently operate the plant and perform miscellaneous duties as requested.
