Growth opportunities available to learn repairs consisting of repairing all types of rail cars using hand tools, cutting torches and welding equipment in accordance with AAR, FRA, Railroad rules, company policies and safety procedures.Mechanical experience preferred. AWS D15.1 Welding Qualification is a plus. Valid driver license required.Full-time day shift job may require evening and/or weekend work. Shift flexibility and possible overtime.Work is of the physical nature and involves frequent walking, gripping, reaching, kneeling, bending, and stooping. Working environment is outdoors.On a post-offer basis, candidates must pass drug screening and eRailSafe background check to meet the U.S. Department of Homeland Security requirements as required by the railroad. Social Security number required.Benefits:Full-time employees are eligible for health plan benefits first of month following 60 days of employment. Employees may cover their spouse or domestic partner and/or dependent child(ren) up to the age of 26. Medical insurance is on a shared cost basis. Dental, vision and supplemental life insurance is available and funded solely by employee. Plus, for employees only at no cost, Hospital Indemnity plan (requires enrollment in a medical plan) and Basic Life and AD&D. Eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan after attainment of age 21 and completion of 6 months of service.
