Hydromax USA is seeking a Technician Trainee for our Evansville repair shop. You will diagnose and repair robotic inspection equipment, solder wires, re-term cables, and test repaired units before returning them to the field. Occasional travel to deliver replacement components is possible.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning, safety, and the ability to work with multimeters and basic electrical theory. Paid training and overtime opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Candidates with mechanical, automotive, or electronic circuitry experience preferred
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

• Show an understanding of basic electrical theory and using a Multimeter to troubleshoot problems
• Have a safety first mindset, use and maintain shop PPE, and use a fume extractor
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Learn to perform at least the basic repairs on all the equipment
• Learn to troubleshoot issues down to the faulty component

Position Summary

A typical day as a Repair Shop Technician Trainee consists of diagnosing broken robotic inspection equipment or cables, repairing equipment, and testing repaired equipment before it goes back into the field. Occasionally, travel to various locations to deliver replacement components to the field.

Primary Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Able to work an overtime schedule


• Computer knowledgeable and able to quickly learn new software


• Able to work individually or as a team


• Display an eagerness to learn and take on more challenging repairs over time


• Possess good work ethic, takes initiative on tasks, willing to work in a structured work environment and follow all company and client procedures and policies


• Valid Driver's License with safe driving record


• Able to pass drug screening and motor vehicle background check


• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds


• Applicants must be presently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

A pre-employment drug screen (including Marijuana) and third-party background check are required as a condition of employment.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee would encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
