Job summary

A leading smart manufacturing company in Mount Pleasant is seeking a Repair Technician. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electronic failures, adhering to strict testing standards, and demonstrating exceptional soldering skills. The ideal candidate has a 2-year technical degree in Electrical Engineering and experience with printed circuit boards. Qualifications

  • Experience reading prints, schematics, and other manufacturing documents.
  • Prior experience in IPC‑A‑610 or IPC‑7711 standards.
  • Expert manual soldering skills: Thru-Hole, SMT, Leadless, BGAs.

  • Expert manual soldering skills: Thru‑Hole, SMT, Leadless, BGAs.
  • Use all electronics equipment: DVM, oscilloscope, network analyzer, waveform generator, LCR meters, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair failures; diagnose root cause and recommend corrective action.
  • Monitor and maintain testing station performance.
  • Train Repair Technicians on new testing procedures.
  • Ensure Repair Technicians follow standard testing process.
  • Use complex equipment for troubleshooting and repair duties, including a 3DX-Ray system, solder pot, and rework station.
  • Train Repair Technicians and Test Technicians on new and existing testing procedures and product troubleshooting.
  • Guide Repair Technicians on soldering techniques used during repairs.
  • Conduct manual soldering: Thru‑Hole, SMT, Leadless, BGAs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the department in an office/production environment and have the opportunity to display critical thinking skills to expand your career in smart manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electrical engineering specializations in printed circuit board technologies and related components.
  • Written and verbal communication skills to achieve all deliverables within team environments.

  • Ability to work in both team and individual environments with minimal supervision.
  • Effectively communicate with peers and management to meet quality and timeliness objectives.
