Job summary

Weatherford is seeking an R&M Technician in Oklahoma to perform hands-on maintenance, inspection, repair and refurbishment of field tools. You will work with Weatherford facilities and equipment, following manuals and procedures to ensure readiness for the next assignment.

Responsibilities include daily safety participation, equipment upkeep, disassembly and reassembly, and accurate documentation. Coastal duties include using lifting gear and providing reliable production support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills including keyboard and basic software use.
• Basic mathematics knowledge.
• Ability to perform maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License is a plus.
• Good reading and writing skills and sound judgement.
• 2–4 years of oil & gas industry experience is a plus.
• Quality control analysis to ensure product meets standards.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role.
• Ability to identify problems and plan solutions while operating tools and machinery.
• Ability to anticipate how tools and products will look during assembly or modification.

Responsibilities

• Participates in all daily operations & safety meetings, toolbox, JHA & reports issues promptly.
• Maintains equipment, facilities, and work area in a safe condition.
• Repairs machines, equipment, or structures using various tools and instruments.
• Inspects used parts to determine changes with measuring instruments.
• Follows maintenance processes: unloading, disassembly, cleaning, testing, painting, assembly, loading, storage.
• Updates and closes AIRTs, PFTs, forms, and work orders as required.
• Records WO time using the time tracking system.
• Uses lifting equipment and forklifts; certified for lifting equipment.
• Prepares shipments for dispatch with accurate documentation.
• Supports LEAN initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
• Performs other duties safely as assigned by supervisor.
• Reports equipment failures to R&M Management when required.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Participates in all daily operations & safety meetings, toolbox, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and reports any issues promptly using the appropriate tools
• Maintains equipment, facilities, and work area in a presentable and safe working condition
• Repairs machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, cranes, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, caliper’s, micrometers, or other measuring instruments.
• Follows maintenance processes & procedures to undertake the following: unloading, disassembly, cleaning, pressure testing, visual checking, painting, assembly, loading, and storage of tools, completing all necessary documentation as required against their level of training & competence
• Initiates, updates, closes out AIRTs, PFTs, forms, checklists, and work orders during maintenance of equipment and assets, following the necessary maintenance processes and procedures against their level of training & competence
• Complies with the WO labor time log by accurately clocking in/Out of the WO (Work Order) Time tracking system
• Utilizes all tools and lifting equipment for opening and closing crates & containers and uses pallet and forklift trucks for the safe movement of equipment to and from vehicles, storage areas, racks, shelves, and bins against their level of training & competence. Must be certified for the use of lifting equipment, including forklift trucks and cranes
• Accepts incoming shipments and prepares shipments for dispatch, validating quantities and ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and complies with all Company procedures against their level of training & competence
• Supports and complies with the LEAN initiatives and participates in the continuous efficiency improvement program of the facility.
• Performs other duties and activities safely as assigned by supervisor within physical constraints of the job
• Where required, will report all equipment failures and troubleshooting requirements to the R&M Management
• Shows social orientation, working and being personally connected with others on the job
