Job summary

Philabundance is seeking a Supervisor of Repack to lead a team of volunteers in packing and sorting donated food within an open warehouse, including cooler/freezer areas, to meet defined deliverables and safety standards.

This role combines leadership with hands-on work, mentoring staff, coordinating with the Events and Warehouse teams, and producing timely reports on activity, inventory, and quality control. A drug test and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; extended degree preferred.
• Serve Safe Certification preferred; must certify within 30 days of hire.
• Forklift Certification preferred; must certify within 30 days and teach others.
• Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment experience in grocery/food industry.
• Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks and warehouse equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage team resources including planning, attendance, performance, training, and staffing.
• Provide excellent customer service to customers/volunteers.
• Track repack activity and report inventory status and performance.
• Oversee picking, staging, loading, and shipping orders.
• Maintain safe, clean warehouse and enforce safety standards.
• Mentor and develop team to meet output targets.
