This position has a base salary range of $38,400 - $57,600 USD annual. The range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary depending on relevant skills, experience and time in the role.
Summary
Perform all member service–related functions in a timely and accurate manner. Effectively consult with members and prospective members on credit union products and services, while providing financial well‑being solutions tailored to individual needs.
Role And Responsibilities
- Proficiently process consumer loans from application to close, including ancillary product sales.
- Interview members/prospective members to identify, consult and fulfill their present and future financial and lending needs.
- Provide financial coaching and product recommendations aligned with member goals.
- Build and maintain favorable member relationships.
- Assist members with loan servicing and credit guidance.
- Meet or exceed individual sales goals to align with and support branch PMO’s.
- Represent the credit union professionally at branch and external business development events.
- Support daily branch operations and assist in training new staff as needed.
- Conduct all member service transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, and account maintenance.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all financial transactions.
- Maintain accurate member records and documentation.
- Comply with internal policies and external regulations.
- Successfully complete all required registrations or certifications as needed.
- Utilize digital tools to enhance member experience and streamline operations.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a financial institution, cash handling, and/or retail sales is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to consistently represent the credit union, in a positive and professional manner at branch and outside business development events.
- Ability to multi‑task and work well under pressure.
- Team‑oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Windows PC applications and BCU systems.
- Willingness to pursue ongoing professional development and financial coaching certifications.
- If work location is in Puerto Rico: Fully bilingual (English & Spanish) and has ability to travel to other island areas if necessary.
