Job summary

Wheeler Machinery Co. is seeking qualified Field Service Technicians for a full-time benefited role. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a range of equipment on-site and at customer locations, with emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

Applicants should be comfortable traveling out of town, working overtime, and on-call weekends. Owning tools and ability to work at heights up to 85 ft are required.

Qualifications

• Clean MVR required (no more than 1 moving violation under 25, and no more than 2 if 25+).
• Ability to keep up with new technology and advancements.
• Comfortable working at heights up to 85 ft.
• Must have own tools up to ¾" drive and basic mechanic tools.
• Willingness to work out of town, overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate troubleshooting and diagnosis on various equipment makes.
• Carry out timely repairs and component installation.
• Maintain safety at all times on customer job sites.
• Keep service truck and tooling in good condition.
• Work with minimal supervision while meeting dealership service standards.

Wheeler Machinery Co. is hiring qualified Field Service Technicians. Full-time benefited position. Keep safety first in all tasks while utilizing TRACK/Tyfoom. Will be responsible for performing accurate troubleshooting & diagnosing, timely repairs, and component installation on all different makes of equipment not limited to Caterpillar, JLG, Genie, Broce, Multiquip, Husqvarna, Kenworth, and Freightliner.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Utilize safe working habits in all aspects of the job.
• Must be willing to work out of town, overtime and weekends as needed.
• Maintain Service truck and company provided tooling and equipment.
• Good working knowledge of hydraulics, electrical, fuel systems, and basic machine operation.
• Demonstrated excellent work ethic with self-motivation, ability to work safe with minimal supervision on customer job sites, while maintaining dealership expectations of thoroughness and customer service.

Required Qualifications

• Have and maintain a clean MVR (no more than 1 moving violation under the age of 25, and no more than 2 if over the age of 25).
• Have the ability to keep up with new technology and advancements.
• Must be comfortable working at heights up to 85ft.
• Must have own tools up to ¾" drive and basic mechanic tools.
• Working outside of normal business hours as the business demands and on call rotating weekends for emergency service on broken equipment.
