Job summary

Warren CAT is seeking a skilled field service technician to perform maintenance and repair on rental equipment in both field and shop environments. You will complete tasks to meet flat-rate times, provide repair recommendations, and handle related paperwork using various databases and systems.

Ideal candidates have diesel/gas engine knowledge, ability to perform PM services across diverse equipment, and strong customer communication.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of diesel or gas engines, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic systems and components.
• Ability to perform required PM services across a broad range of rental equipment in field and shop.
• Effective communication with customers and coordinate PM service schedules.
• Clean driving record and CDL or ability to obtain CDL within 60 days; must be at least 21 to operate field vehicle.
• Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
• Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Manufacturing software and Order processing systems.

• Submit accurate and timely service reports and DOT logs.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re-do metric.
• Ability to provide repair recommendations and perform minor service repairs in both field and shop.
• Complete related paperwork and access required databases (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS Web, STW) to complete job within an accurate and timely manner.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
• General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, lap tops, diagnostic software and cranes and rigging equipment.
• This position requires the ability to provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to the customer.
• Complete and submit accurate and timely service reports and DOT logs.
