Wagner CAT Rental, Silverthorne, CO, is seeking a Rental Field Service Technician. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy CAT equipment at customer sites, with 75–100% travel. The role emphasizes safe, first-time repairs and strong customer communication.

You will collaborate with the Service and Sales teams, maintain equipment records, and mentor junior technicians while supporting Wagner Equipment Co. offerings and safety standards.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Relevant CAT related courses.
• 3+ years’ experience servicing heavy equipment.
• 1+ years administrative/clerical experience.
• 3+ years customer service experience.
• Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills.
• Safety & Product Knowledge.
• Ability to work independently with little or no direction.

Aufgaben

• Maintains truck and crane inspection logs daily.
• Completes CAT service reports daily with proper grammar and SIMS code.
• Transmits photos, timecards, service reports, and information by e-mail.
• Maintains customer records on assigned jobs.
• Maintains credit card receipts for accounting purposes.
• Collaborates with Service, Product Support, and Sales to meet customer needs.
• Communicates diagnosis and status of repairs to customers.
• Teaches and coaches other technicians in the field.
• Promotes Wagner Equipment Co. to customers.
• Reads, understands, and applies electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Safely rigs or hooks components for lifting.
• Removes, repairs, and installs major components.
• Maintains tooling in good order per MSHA/OSHA regulations.
• Gives warranty repair determinations and shares with dispatcher.
• Keeps service vehicle in safe condition.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The Rental Equipment Field Service Technician works with some direct supervision in diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment at the customer’s site in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team.”

Pay Rate:$27.00 - $35.88 per hour + 15% location differentialPay rate is dependent upon education & experience.

• Maintains truck and crane inspection logs on a daily basis
• Completes CAT service reports daily that are legible, have proper grammar and sentence structure, and appropriate SIMS code
• Transmits photos, timecards, service reports, and other information through e-mail
• Maintains good customer records on jobs that have been assigned
• Maintains credit card receipts for accounting purposes
• Works with the Service Department, Product Support Representatives, and Sales Department to meet all of the customer’s needs
• Communicates with customers on the diagnosis and status of repairs, parts, and other concerns
• Teaches and coaches other technicians in the field
• Promotes Wagner Equipment Co. to customers
• Accurately troubleshoots and repairs CAT equipment the first time
• Reads, understands, and applies electrical and hydraulic schematics to repair work
• Safely rigs or hooks components for lifting
• Removes, repairs, and installs major components in varying configurations of equipment
• Maintains tooling in good working order as per MSHA and OSHA regulations
• Makes determinations in the field on warranty repair and guidelines, communicating decisions to customer and dispatcher
• Maintains service vehicle in safe and good repair
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Relevant CAT related courses
• 3+ years’ experience servicing heavy equipment
• 1+ years administrative/clerical experience
• 3+ years customer service experience
• Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills
• Safety & Product Knowledge
• Ability to work independently with little or no direction

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Intermediate Knowledge of DBS
• Intermediate Knowledge of ET/SIS/SIS Web/STW
• Relevant CAT related courses
• Well-rounded knowledge of CAT equipment

• DOT Health Card
• Class D Driver’s License
• MSHA License
• Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
• Heavy work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 100 pounds or more
• Indoors and Outdoors

Travel Requirements:

• 75%- 100%
