Mustang Cat in Lufkin, TX is seeking a Rental Equipment Technician/Mechanic to service our fleet of rental construction equipment. You’ll perform maintenance and repairs on diesel machines, aerial lifts, and man lifts, ensuring safe, reliable operation for customers.

• Must own proper tools to perform necessary repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on Mustang’s rental construction equipment, including diesel-powered machines, aerial lifts, and man lifts.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to ensure safe, reliable performance for customers.
• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain accurate service records.
• Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues and perform routine preventive maintenance.

What You’ll Do as a Rental Equipment Technician:

As a Rental Equipment Mechanic, you will perform maintenance and repairs on Mustang’s expanding fleet of rental construction equipment, including diesel-powered machines, aerial lifts, and man lifts. You’ll inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment to ensure safe, reliable performance for our customers.

Position Requirements:

• Must own proper tools to perform necessary repairs
• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous mechanic experience or military service highly valued
• Strong understanding of diesel, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Ability to demonstrate technical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills

Strongly Preferred Experience:

• Technical certificate or associate degree from an accredited program
• Mechanic experience on heavy and light construction equipment
• Experience servicing aerial and man lift equipment
• Technical knowledge of hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors
• Welding experience is a plus
