Job Description

The Rental Clerk is responsible for assisting with the dealership's fleet of loaner vehicles provided to customers while their own vehicles are serviced.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and ready for customer use.
• Handling the check-in and check-out process for loaner vehicles, including explaining terms of use, documenting customer information, and providing vehicle keys.
• Coordinating with the service department to provide customers with loaner vehicles during service appointments.
• Maintaining accurate records of loaner vehicle agreements, including customer details, vehicle assignment, mileage, and condition reports.
• Inspecting vehicles before and after use, documenting any damages or issues.
• Providing friendly and efficient customer service, addressing any questions or concerns.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a rental car or loaner vehicle environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Strong attention to detail to maintain the dealership’s professional appearance.

The Rental Clerk position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of $23.00.
