Avenue5 Residential seeks a skilled renovation technician to plan and execute renovation schedules, turning units over on time. You will coordinate carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting and related work, order materials, and maintain records for each unit.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least three years in maintenance or renovations, plus strong organizational and project management skills. You will communicate daily with property managers and ensure budgets are respected.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of property management maintenance, building maintenance, renovations, or related trade is required.
• Ability to use a personal computer, email, Word, and Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop renovation schedules and monitor progress to meet production timelines.
• Renovate units including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, repairs, cleaning, and painting.
• Order materials within budget and document items used.
• Provide daily project updates to property managers and others.
• Negotiate pricing for contracted work to stay within budget.

About The Renovation Technician Position

We’re looking for a talented renovation technician who will be responsible for developing and executing effective renovation schedules that turn units over to properties on time; ordering all necessary materials and keeping accurate records of all units and items utilized for each.

• Responsible for renovating units which could include but is not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, repairs, cleaning, and painting
• Develop renovation schedules, monitor progress, and hold contractors accountable to strict production schedules
• Order project-related materials within budget guidelines; maintain accurate documentation of each ordered item
• Maintain constant communication with property managers and others as requested, providing daily project updates
• Ensure all contracted duties adhere to a detailed scope of work
• Inspect vacant units and inventory work to be performed adhering to the renovation process
• Negotiate pricing for all contracted work, including change orders, to stay within or below budget
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Minimum three years of experience with property management maintenance, building maintenance, renovations, or related trade is required
