Job summary

O’Brien Interiors Group designs and delivers turnkey interior spaces for residential and commercial clients across the Midwest. We are seeking a Renovation Project Manager to lead projects in Minnesota, coordinating design, procurement, labor, and on-site execution to ensure successful outcomes.

The role requires oversight of field operations, budgeting, and collaboration with site superintendents, with regular travel to project sites and overnight stays as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience and knowledge of construction projects.
  • Proficiency in Procore.
  • Valid State of Michigan driver’s license.
  • Creative, results-oriented, and self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptable management style.
  • Proven communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

  • Manage field operations, including budget and job costing functions, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for site superintendents, fostering strong collaborative relationships.
  • Effectively communicate company objectives and targets to site superintendents and crews, ensuring alignment and understanding.
  • Manage resources to ensure the availability of materials, equipment, and manpower across multiple job sites.
  • Supervise and coordinate the needs of the workforce, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Monitor equipment needs and utilization to ensure crews have the necessary tools while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, technology, and innovation, and implement improvements.
  • Proactively identify and resolve challenges using available knowledge and resources.
  • Collaborate with superintendents and key employees to identify and implement more efficient operational methods.
  • Assist in facilitating and leading periodic Foreman meetings.
  • Partner with the Safety department to ensure adherence to safe work practices, compliance with safety regulations, and effective risk management.
  • Assist in identifying and mentoring future field leaders, including foremen.
  • Uphold and promote the company’s core values, integrity, and code of ethics.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

As the company continues to grow and take on new projects, we are looking for a Renovation Project Manager to lead projects in the Minnesota region and drive successful project execution.

This position requires regular travel to various project sites within the Midwest, and overnight travel is necessary.

  • Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on construction sites.
