Job summary

WSB is a design and consulting firm offering services across transportation, planning, energy and more. Our Renewables group is seeking an Engineering Specialist focused on solar and wind design, utilizing Autodesk Civil 3D, and based out of a major WSB office location.

This role emphasizes collaboration, accuracy, and timely delivery. You will transform initial rough designs into complete civil construction plans, coordinate with the project team, and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Qualifications

• Associate of science degree in Drafting/Design or 10+ years of AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.
• Ability to prepare, read and understand construction plans and technical docs; strong understanding of design software packages (Autodesk Civil 3D).
• Proven experience in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam software for design review.
• Experience in land development or renewable energy engineering is strongly preferred.
• PVCase software experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Excellent communication skills and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Transform initial rough product designs using Civil 3D into working documents.
• Plan and prepare preliminary layouts and detailed final design drawings with notes, maps and shapefiles.
• Produce a complete set of civil construction plans for wind and solar projects under supervision.
• Ensure work aligns with scope, standards, and client requirements.
• Complete work within schedule and review drawings for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain revisions and organize project drawings and information.
• Coordinate with design managers and project team to align efforts.
• Collaborate with design team and document management using Microsoft Teams.
• Execute project work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt quickly.
• Work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
