Job summary

OneSource Distributors in San Leandro, CA is seeking a Solar Order Picker/Specialist to accurately pick materials for solar energy orders in an RF environment. You will operate equipment to retrieve items, inspect for damage, and safely handle photovoltaic panels, inverters, and energy storage.

This full-time, on-site role (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) requires forklift certification, 3+ years of warehouse experience in solar products, strong organization, and teamwork.

• Forklift certification required and safe operation awareness.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Pick and assemble customer solar orders accurately in an RF environment.

• Safely handle fragile and high-value components like PV panels and inverters.

What you will do:

• The Solar Order Picker/Specialist is responsible for accurate picking of materials to support our solar energy orders.
• This role is responsible for picking and assembling customer orders via and RF environment.
• Operate proper equipment to retrieve items from high shelves and storage areas. Equipment may vary based on product.
• Processing of order instructions correctly and accurately. Inspection of product for damage; report as needed
• Safely handle fragile and high-value components such as photovoltaic panels, inverters and energy storage.
• Ergonomically transfer product boxes from racks to pallets
• Follow all safety protocol and warehouse procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to manage inventory levels and assist in warehouse management systems.
• Experience working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
• Frequent lifting (up to 50-75 lbs.) safely and consistently throughout the day.

• 3+ years of warehouse experience in solar, renewable products.

• Knowledge of alternative energy or solar industry is preferred.
• Forklift certification required.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels.
• Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
• Use of PPE as required.
• Mix of warehouse and office work environments

Location:

This role is on-site in the San Leandro, CA branch

Work hours:

2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Salary Range:

• This is a non-exempt position that pays $22.00 - $27.00 an hour. This salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, within California. The actual range of the role may differ based on the location of the role.
