Job Description

This role provides project management leadership for a growing portfolio of utility-scale renewable generation projects and highly regulated procurement activities. You will coordinate complex RFP processes, manage stakeholder engagement, support Qualifying Facility programs, and drive process improvements that enhance efficiency, consistency, and visibility across multiple workstreams. The primary objective is to improve execution of renewable procurement programs while ensuring that regulatory and commercial deadlines are consistently met.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate utility-scale renewable procurement activities, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and Qualifying Facility (QF) projects.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination between renewable developers, regulatory stakeholders, Public Service Commission staff, and internal subject matter experts.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, deadlines, and action items across multiple concurrent workstreams to ensure timely execution.
  • Support evaluation, procurement, contract administration, and commercial operation readiness by facilitating effective information sharing and coordination among stakeholders involved in project reviews.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives by developing and enhancing tracking tools, workflows, and communication processes that increase efficiency and transparency.
  • Support regulatory filings, certifications, and compliance-related activities associated with renewable procurement programs.
  • Interpret technical, commercial, and regulatory information provided by engineering and other internal teams to support informed decision making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in regulatory, transmission, planning, legal, commercial, and engineering to align project objectives and requirements.
  • Influence stakeholders and project outcomes without direct authority by building strong relationships and using clear, persuasive communication.
  • Contribute to long-term resource planning and generation investment strategies through high-visibility renewable projects.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Policy, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in project management, program coordination, regulatory, utility, energy, finance, construction, or a closely related area.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven stakeholder coordination skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to influence outcomes and drive alignment without direct authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex information clearly to different audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and a process improvement mindset, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement practical solutions.
  • Experience with RFP processes and structured procurement activities.
  • Familiarity with utility-scale solar, energy policy, power purchase agreements, qualifying facilities, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and regulatory affairs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in renewable energy, utility operations, power generation, transmission, energy policy, or energy procurement.
  • Knowledge of contract administration and regulatory environments related to energy and utilities.
  • Experience supporting Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) or Qualifying Facility (QF) programs.
  • Understanding of utility-scale solar, battery storage, or power generation project lifecycles.
  • Exposure to transmission systems or interconnection processes.
  • Master's degree in Energy Policy, Sustainability, Environmental Policy, or a related discipline.
  • PMP certification or formal project management training.
  • Strong interest in sustainability, clean energy, energy policy, and utility operations.
  • Comfort working on strategic, high-visibility projects that impact long-term resource planning and generation investments.
