Job summary

Maas Energy Works, Inc. in Quitman, GA seeks a Renewable Energy Site Manager to lead construction management of biogas projects and later transition to site operations.

You will supervise earthwork, pipelines, structures, and equipment, coordinating with contractors and dairy staff to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery. The role requires strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

  • Four or more years in construction or construction management is preferred.
  • Ability to read basic site plans; reading P&ID or electrical schematics is a plus.
  • Farm/AG experience is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; self-starter with problem solving.
  • Proficient in English; basic computing skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project construction sites to ensure work aligns with plan.
  • Supervise daily walk-throughs, logs, and weekly summaries.
  • Identify site conflicts and coordinate with contractors and staff.
  • Ensure jobsite safety, QAQC, and equipment maintenance.
  • Coordinate with engineers, regulators, and partners; manage on-site and remote vendors.
  • Troubleshoot issues and coordinate repair work and maintenance checklists.

Position Title: Renewable Energy Site Manager

Department: Construction Management & Operations

Reports to: Construction Manager or Operations Manager

Compensation: Starting range $75,000 - $90,000; Commensurate to skills and experience.

Hours: Full-time Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm.

During construction phase (thru early 2027): some paid travel expected initially for onboarding and training purposes – 1 week per month for 4 months. Mild overtime

During steady operations (late 2026 and onward): on-call duties required (overnight and weekend response to plant shutdowns or emergencies

MEW designs, develops, constructs, and operates biogas renewable-energy generation systems, primarily on dairy farms. Our projects include anaerobic digesters, biogas-powered electric generation, and renewable natural gas upgrading.

Position Description

The Renewable Energy Site Manager will focus initially on the construction management of the site. Construction management of the facilities will include supervising earthwork, the installation of pipelines, structures, concrete, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, etc. Upon construction completion, the Site Manager will transition to operations of the site, overseeing the operation of all equipment related to manure management, biogas handling, upgrading, clean up, and CNG/hauling.

The Site Manager will be expected to monitor plant performance, perform routine maintenance, repair equipment as necessary, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and coordinate with co-workers and business partners as needed. Equipment to be operated/serviced will include PLCs, data loggers, biogas blowers, pumps, 1ph & 3ph motors, and electrical wiring. Applicants should have some level of experience with construction management, mechanical and electrical equipment and enjoy troubleshooting issues within industrial facilities. Interpersonal skills, verbal skills, and moderate computer skills are a must; you will be the MEW representative to contractors, vendors, and stakeholders. Pride in appearance, reliability, honesty, consistency, and self management are required; you will be a key member of a team, but will be expected to work without direct surervision.
Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicate via email, text, and phone with supervisors, team members, contractors, clients, and business partners

Qualifications & Skills

  • Four or more years of experience in Construction or Construction Management preferred.
  • The ability to read and understand basic site plans a must. Ability to read P&IDs or electrical schematics a plus
  • Farm/AG experience a plus
  • Analytical thinker and self-starter.
  • Ability to diagnose & resolve problems, and to plan & execute autonomously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Proficient in written & spoken English required.
  • Basic computing and Microsoft office skills required.
  • Forklift/tele-handler/backhoe skills a plus
  • General mechanical and electrical experience (2+ years preferred)
  • Plant or site operations experience preferred.
  • Facilities maintenance experience a plus
  • Ability to learn new equipment software and electronic interfaces
  • Analytical thinker, ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.

Work Environment

This job mainly operates in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, etc. Noise level may be loud at times and works around moving mechanical or construction equipment. Must have current GA/FL driver’s license and be able to operate company vehicles

Must be able to move objects of at least 50 lbs., and use leg, abdominal, and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. Climbing ladders/scaffolds, navigating uneven surfaces, and working in close quarters is expected. Working in an office environment at a computer station to write reports, order consumables, or monitor plant performance
