Job summary

PBF Energy is seeking a Renewable Diesel Process Engineer to provide technical support for Pretreatment and Renewable Diesel Units at the Chalmette Refinery in Chalmette, LA. The role focuses on process monitoring, troubleshooting, asset improvement, and technology selection to optimize unit performance.

The candidate will monitor operations, issue guidance to ensure targets are met, and drive efficiency, safety, and asset improvement across the site in a team setting.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Engineering required.
• Chemical engineering preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Oil refinery or petrochemical complex engineering experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote the site’s Loss Prevention System and ensure all activities are safety and loss prevention focused.
• Perform daily unit monitoring and troubleshooting to analyze and optimize process unit operating performance.
• Issue technical guidance to operations to achieve unit operation targets.
• Drive operating limits, efficiency, and raw material/capacity utilization improvements.
• Develop and support test runs and data collection and analysis.
• Support Process Safety Management programs, including Management of Change and Incident Investigations.
