Job summary

MAC.BID in Gastonia, NC is seeking a Removal Floater to support all stages of customer pick-up. This full-time hourly, non-exempt position reports to the Removal Team Lead and requires on-site availability.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 25 lb (50 lb with team), follow written directions, stay organized and detail-oriented, with HS diploma preferred. Benefits include weekly pay, healthcare after 60 days, 401(k) match after 90 days, PTO and referral program.

Qualifications

• On-site work is required with varying shifts.
• Schedules: Mon-Sat; 10:00–18:30 or 11:30–20:00 depending on location.
• Must follow written directions and company policies.
• Candidate must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
• HS diploma preferred.

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Removal Floater assists in all the stages of customer pick-up . The entire removal team provides every winning bidder with exemplary service. This position reports to the Removal Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Know how auction items are categorized on shelves
• Greet and assist customers in finding their items
• Make customers glad they have won an item, to encourage them to continue bidding
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management
• Scan customers in and out for item pick-ups

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Availability to work on-site. Schedules may vary Monday through Saturday, depending on location, 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break, hours determined by workload and Management
• Must be able to work required schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday: 10 AM - 6:30 PM & Tuesday/Thursday: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift
• Must be able to follow written directions and company policies
• Must be highly organized
• Must be detail-oriented
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
