Bosun 25F9D5Ec70Da is seeking a Litigation Associate for its New York insurance defense practice. The role offers a remote-first environment with mentorship and a clear path to advancement, while requiring the ability to appear in New York courts when needed.

You will work closely with partners, handle a range of liability and personal injury matters, and advance your litigation skills in a collaborative, supportive setting.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the New York State Bar.
• 3–7 years of workers’ compensation defense experience preferred.
• Litigation experience in personal injury, general liability, or insurance defense.
• Experience representing insurance carriers or working in an insurance defense firm.

Responsibilities

• Manage workers’ compensation defense files from inception through resolution.
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and conferences (virtual and in person).
• Draft and respond to discovery, motions, and other pleadings.
• Conduct and defend depositions of parties and witnesses.
• Prepare clients and insureds for depositions and court proceedings.
• Appear in court for conferences, hearings, and oral arguments.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
• Assist with or lead trial preparation, including second or first chair opportunities.
