Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner for Workers' Compensation under AK jurisdiction with remote work options. The role focuses on processing low level workers' compensation claims, determining benefits due, and ensuring proper documentation and adjudication.

The ideal candidate has multiple years in claims management, a High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor's preferred), and may hold relevant professional certifications.

Qualifications

• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes low level workers' compensation claims determining compensability and benefits due.
• Develops action plans for resolution, return-to-work, and approves claim payments.
• Approves and processes assigned claims and administers action plans.
• Administers subrogation of claims and negotiates settlements.
• Communicates claim actions with claimants and clients.
• Ensures claim files are properly documented and coding is correct.
• May process low-level lifetime medical and/or defined period medical claims.
