Job summary

HireLago is seeking a WordPress Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable WordPress sites. You will translate designs into pixel-perfect WP implementations and optimize performance while collaborating with designers, PMs, and clients.

Responsibilities include plugin/theme development, WooCommerce setups, security, and ongoing support. 2–4 years of WP experience required; remote work options are available.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of professional WordPress development experience.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript for WP.
• Experience building themes and plugins from scratch or via child themes.
• Solid understanding of WordPress core, hooks, filters, and REST API.
• Experience with performance optimization and page speed best practices.
• Familiarity with Git and deployment workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites including themes and plugins.
• Translate design mockups (Figma/XD) into pixel-perfect WP implementations.
• Configure and customize popular WP plugins (WooCommerce, ACF, Elementor, Yoast).
• Optimize site performance (Core Web Vitals, caching, image optimization).
• Implement on-page SEO with SEO specialists, ensure security.
• Manage migrations, backups, and hosting configurations.
• Set up WooCommerce stores: products, checkout, payments.
• Troubleshoot bugs and cross-browser issues.
• Maintain development docs and provide content-editor support.
• Collaborate with designers, PMs, and clients to deliver scalable WP solutions.
