Job summary

Cisco Isovalent's Windows agent engineering team is seeking a Software Engineer to extend runtime security for Windows endpoints. You will build secure, high-performance software using Go, C, and C++ close to the OS, leveraging Win32 APIs, file I/O, and Winsock.

You will collaborate with senior engineers across Windows and Linux, analyze platform behavior, and optimize for reliability and performance in a cross‑platform product family protecting enterprise workloads.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of software development experience or Master's with 4+ years.
Experience with systems programming using C or C++, including multi-threaded development.
2+ years of OS fundamentals (threads, processes, file systems, networking, IPC).
Experience with Windows system programming (Win32 APIs, File I/O, Winsock).
Experience debugging complex software systems.

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance runtime security features for a Windows-based endpoint agent.
Design and implement system-level endpoint security and monitoring using Go, C, and C++.
Participate in architecture discussions with senior engineers and architects.
Develop software using Windows interfaces, including Win32 APIs, File I/O, and Winsock.
Investigate Windows platform behavior and kernel/user-mode interactions.
Develop multi-threaded and multi-process applications and system-level software.
Debug, review code, and optimize performance for reliable endpoint operation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate runtime security requirements into robust solutions.
Contribute to cross-platform security capabilities across Windows and Linux.
