Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Windchill Java Developer for a 100% remote role in the United States. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of Java development experience with deep Windchill customization expertise and familiarity with PTC APIs and customization frameworks.

You will design advanced Windchill customizations, extend data models, and optimize performance while maintaining upgrade-friendly practices. Collaboration with product, design, and operations will be essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Ten+ years of Java development experience focusing on Windchill customization.
• Deep hands-on Windchill Java API and customization frameworks knowledge.
• Strong understanding of Windchill data model, lifecycle, and workflow internals.
• Excellent Java OO design and performance-engineering skills.
• Experience with JSP/HTML and Windchill client-side customization.
• Hands-on experience with TAM.
• Strong SQL skills with Oracle or SQL Server.
• Experience supporting Windchill upgrades.
• Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced Java customizations within Windchill (services, listeners, processors).
• Extend Windchill data model with custom types/attributes/relationships (TAM).
• Build custom JSP/HTML extensions and UI components.
• Develop custom queues and background processes for Windchill tasks.
• Implement complex workflow expressions and robot delegates in Java.
