Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a creative Web Designer to build engaging, responsive websites and digital experiences. You will collaborate with marketing, development, content, and leadership to translate business objectives into professional web designs.

Responsibilities include crafting wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, translating brand guidelines, and working with teams to deliver landing pages and campaigns. A strong portfolio and proficiency in Figma are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of professional web-design or digital-design experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating responsive website and UI design.
• Proficiency with Figma and/or comparable design tools.
• Strong understanding of typography, color, layout, composition, and visual hierarchy.
• Understanding of responsive and mobile-first design principles.
• Knowledge of basic HTML and CSS.
• Strong understanding of user experience and web usability.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain responsive websites and landing pages across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, page layouts, mockups, and high-fidelity web designs.
• Develop intuitive and visually consistent user experiences.
• Translate brand guidelines into engaging digital experiences.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
• Work with marketing and content teams to create landing pages and digital campaigns.
• Create graphics, icons, banners, and other digital assets as needed.
• Maintain consistency across websites, digital products, and marketing materials.
• Conduct basic user research and use analytics or feedback to improve website experiences.
• Optimize designs for usability, accessibility, performance, and mobile responsiveness.
• Maintain and improve existing websites and design systems.
• Stay current with web-design trends, technologies, accessibility standards, and best practices.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining high design quality.
